The access audit conducted by KS Rajanna, commissioner, department of persons with disability, at the Bowring and Lady Curzon Hospital, on October 30, 2013, revealed that the healthcare centre failed to provide accessibility measures for the benefit of physically-challenged citizens. Disappointed with the callous attitude of the hospital authorities, Rajanna gave a 30-day deadline to government offices and hospitals across the city, to implement the necessary measures for special people. It has been over 15 months ever since the deadline was announced, several government offices are yet to be made disabled-friendly.
